This example is as lovely as any evening clutch will come, hand made in Belgium
by a designer I don't see very often, Dormar. This clutch is in excellent,
unused condition, very clean and well kept. The abstract floral designed
embroidery is the same on both sides of the purse. The soft pastel color tones
are showing very well in my photos and they include pinks, blue, sea green,
yellow and lavender. The soft white seed beads have a nice pearly luster so they
contrast against the embroidery beautifully. I find not one bead missing, nor a
discolor or flaw to mention, this clutch is pristine.
The beadwork wraps itself around the edge of the frame so no metal is shown
except for the clasp. The clasp has a nice snap and shuts properly, it is
embellished with two chunky ¼ inch cut and faceted
rhinestones, nice and bright and twinkling. The size of this clutch is fairly
roomy, perhaps a little larger than most, measuring stuffed with tissue, 5 in
height by 10 inches at it's widest and the sides span out about 1½
inches. I do believe this clutch will carry what you will need for your evening
out.
The interior soft white satin lining is as lovely as the rest of the purse, nice
and clean. It has a pocket with it's designer label. The lining and purse are
well attached to the frame at all points, this clutch has no negatives. This
vintage 1930's evening bag will be easy to love and a joy to carry. It would
make a great addition to your wardrobe accessories or a thoughtful gift for
sure.
