The three beaded flowers are somewhat raised, giving a bit more dimension to
this very lovely creation. This charming evening bag will receive many
compliments as it has a unique personality, as do all of the French treasures. The workmanship
shows all of the expertise of the French artisans and condition is what you
would hope it to be. Both sides of this purse are
decorated in the same exact fashion and the purse is well
attached to the frame at all points. My photos
are very good and represent the purse well. This beaded evening bag
carries comfortably with a fully beaded handle and I have re-enforced the
beading where it connects to the frame, not that it needed it but I like to do
it anyway, just to keep it more secure for the future. This purse has also been
professionally cleaned and carries only a scent of
freshness.
 
The arch shaped gold tone metal frame is a true French work of art. It supports
this purse very well and the lift to open beaded clasp works as it should,
closing with a gentle snap.
The frame is beaded with a black and gold lattice style design and overlapped
with very vivid beaded flowers in the tones of bright blue, peach, lavender,
green and yellow. These same beads are used to decorate some of the most stunning
and colorful Champlevé enameling that I have seen in awhile. It looks like
raised carved leaves that have been applied to the frame and filled with
striking enamel. In fact, it is the
frame that gives this purse it's outstanding and sensational appeal.

very well and the colors are not being exaggerated, they are crisp and strong. I'm quite
impressed by this frame, I think it's marvelous and makes the
perfect crown for this elegant French evening bag. The beadwork and
enameling are superb, as is the entire purse. I find no losses, wears or tears,
this purse has been used on occasion but handled with respect.
The beige satin lining has a single pocket and although the purse
has been cleaned, the interior shows basic signs of age or usage,
like a small faint amount of discolor, but will serve well for
future use. If you had to have perfection, I could re-line this
beauty but I would charge a fee for that service.
This 1930 French beaded
evening purse, stuffed
with tissue, measures 5 inches in height by 8 inches wide, the beaded
handle drops the purse by 5 inches and the sides gusset out by 2
inches, offering a roomy interior. The condition is extra fine, no
damages, real negatives or apologies. Please consider this
