Traditional never goes out of style and this all gold Evans mesh vanity compact purse will hold a special place amongst your wardrobe accessories. The all mesh bag likely came from the Whiting & Davis Company, as they were well known for supplying the Evans Company with the mesh for their handbags. |

It was a challenge to take photos, as the reflection off the mesh is quite intense, but they depict the purse very well. The gold round mesh tiles are well attached to the frame and to each other. A couple of the tiny links had detached from the frame but I use old gold wire from another purse and rewired it securely, you will have to search for the fix. The top opens to reveal the original lining, clean and looking unused.
The compact opens to the first section, for powder. It is empty and clean, holding it's original unused powder puff applicator. The next section has a metal top which doubles as a make-up mirror. Open it and you will find the original rough with a puff. It has been used a few times but you can still see remnants of the Evan's insignia on the rouge. Overall, the condition is very good, no damages or significant wear, just a little rubbing to the very center of the top. All closed up, it measures 6 in length by 4 across the widest part of the mesh. The compact is 2 & 1/2 in diameter and the multi linked chain handle droPS5 & 3/4 inches. This is a lovely Evans mesh compact purse in very well kept vintage condition. If you are looking for all gold, please consider this beauty.
