The only problem I have with this compact purse is the difficulty in getting
good photos, too many reflections causing interference and effecting clarity.
The reflected darkened areas and spots you see just are not there. Nonetheless,
the photos do give you an idea of how great this piece is but it does seem to
appear nicer in person. The top is accentuated with a guilloche enameled
hand painted plaque that is bezel set onto the top. There are also many
beautiful subtle etched lines all over both front and back with an embedded
black enameled border at the outer edge. The outer sides are intricately
and completely embossed as well.
There is a fully loaded interior, all complete with a nice clear make-up mirror,
an adorable perfume bottle with long dauber, a lipstick tube and two make-up
wells with their original puffs. The lipstick slide works well and there
is still remnants inside. The powder well is empty but the rouge well in
nearly full. This purse measures 3 in width by 2 in height by 3/8 in depth
and the highly decorative chain handle droPS4 & 3/4 inches. This compact
carry-all handbag is in very fine to excellent vintage condition with no obvious
plate wear. There are no dents or damage that I detect, no breaks or
repairs, just some normal age in the way of light scratching (nothing deep) and
some scuffing to the backside but nothing too naughty. Truthfully, these
types of compact purses are very hard to find in this complete and rather very
worthy condition. I think it will add a special touch of class to your
treasury of purses.
